An original 1970 vintage tulip dining set by Eero Saarinen for Knoll.
Saarinen’s tulip design combines grace with practicality. The rare Rio rosewood tulip table has a beautiful grain and at 137cm in diameter makes a stunning impression. The six tulip chairs have smooth swivel mechanisms and new sage green seat pads.
The entire set has been reconditioned. The table has been re-lacquered. The chairs have been restored. There are some minor chips to the paint, intentionally retained to show vintage.
The original 1970s orange seat covers are included. Their jaded condition is commensurate with this iconic set’s vintage.
This space-age set embodies one of the most celebrated Scandinavian designs of the mid-20th century.
