early 20th century empire revival swedish birch bookcase circa 1900. superb quality piece of swedish made furniture with influences from biedermeier and empire periods. stepped top with ebonised plinth, with a further ebonised element to the architectural top. main body is fitted with 4 original shelves veneered in matching wood, which provides plenty of space for a book collection or decorative items. slightly rounded edges to the sides. standing on a plinth base. original rich colour. very minor surface marks to woodwork.
