Early, 1950s edition table lamp by the Danish designer and architect Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894 – 1984), made by Louis Poulsen, Denmark.
Organically shaped matt white steel hood on a brass stem with ball joint that allows the hood to be adjusted.
There is a pressure switch on the beautifully designed foot.
Originally designed in the mid 1940’s for the ‘Radiohuset’ (Radio house) – the former headquarters of the national Danish broadcaster – in Fredriksberg Copenhagen.

This wire comes from Louis Poulsen, the original manufacturer of these lamps. Wear consistent with age and use. Lamp comes in very good all original condition. Only few minor age related wear to lacquer, as shown on images. -
