Vintage Design
Elling buffet according to the original from 1919, designed by Gerrit Rietveld.
The original buffet was designed by Gerrit Rietveld and made for fellow architect Piet Elling in 1919.
The original burned down and was only rebuilt in 1951 under Rietveld’s direction for an exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
This buffet is a reproduction probably from the 1980s based on authentic construction drawings by Gerrit Rietveld. It has secondary painting.
