USA, ca. 1950s. A scarce medium-size chest from George Nelson’s Thin Edge Group for Herman Miller. Originally introduced as the Storagewall concept in 1945, the Thin Edge Group was formally introduced in 1958. Named for the distinctive edge that frames the front, the design has become synonymous with quality and exacting attention to detail. This example features walnut construction with four wide drawers supported by tapered solid aluminum legs. Turned aluminum hourglass pulls enhance form. Drawer one retains its original removable divider. Professionally refinished, the condition is mint.
