Vintage Design
Neoclassical commode hand-made in Italy in the late 1700 – early 1800s using walnut. The commode presents two large drawers inset with beautiful hand-made dovetail joints. The drawer fronts are simple with still the original wooden shield escutcheons. As a matter of fact the whole dresser is very simple, yet elegant in lines. The sides are made of flat inset panels framed by flat molding, and the legs show the typical long tapered legs ending with arrow feet. The top is made of a single large boards with ogee edge. Despite being very simple in lines the dresser is definitely very decorative because of its beautiful color and character. Its size and height make it a perfect chest of drawers for a bedroom as well as an entryway or office.
