It is a beautiful piece which will make a statement in any home, offering masses of storage space for all manner of things.
Made of solid mahogany and mixed woods it is solid, well made and heavy.
The front is fitted with two ornately carved doors which surround a central run of three spacious drawers and a small cupboard. The doors and drawers are finished with decorative aged drop handles and the bottom cupboard door is lockable.
The doors open to reveal two fixed shelves for storage.
This piece has been hand painted in black water based paint before being lightly distressed and then waxed for protection.
The paintwork is solid colour with a smooth, fairly matt finish.
The top has been stripped of the old dark varnish and newly French Polished for a beautiful glossy finish.
CONDITION
The sideboard is in solid structural condition with various small cosmetic marks of age and use. One side panel has a couple of small shrinkage splits and one door panel has a small chink of wood missing.
