Late 17th Century Large Refectory Oak Dining Table, 1790s

Constructed in the finest Oaks this particular example is exquisite in its manufacturing. Featuring hand chamfered iron bolts and beautifully hand carved legs with simple 1700s popular motifs. The struts are all solid oak and constructed entirely by dowels.

This dinning table is a grande piece suitable for a large space and able to seat up to 12 people, 4 on either side and 2 at either end comfortably. The elegantly bordered slabs of oak on the top feature beautiful burl knots and are framed in the finest manner.

This is an amazing piece of late 18th century design and a fine example of the craftsmanship so indicative of the time. A piece that is so versatile in its elegance if can pair with other antique pieces or as we’ve styled it with starkly modernist piece and look just as stylish.

Condition Report:

Very good antique condition, the original varnish of this piece is astonishingly very well preserved, the piece is absolutely solid, there are some visible signs of ageing as would be expected and some small water marks, but comparatively excellent for a nearly 300 year old table.
