This gorgeous Mercedes Robirosa Paris couture pendant necklace features an oversized gilt metal all-textured and pierced cross pendant ornate with enamel in red, green, blue, and yellow colors. The heavy gilded metal chain has a hook closing clasp and chain for length flexibility. The signature is engraved underside of the pendant: Mercedes Robirosa.
Measurements: Necklace total length is 31.10 in (79 cm) – drop is 18.50 in long (47 cm) – pendant is 3.44 in wide (8.7 cm) x 3.98 in high (10.1 cm).

Mercedes Robirosa, of Argentinean origin, was one of Yves Saint Laurent’s favorite models in the late 1960s and 70s. After participating in the catwalks of famous couture houses, Mercedes Robirosa started a career in jewelry design. Between 1982 and 1986, Karl Lagerfeld hired her to design and manage the Chanel couture and ready-to-wear accessories collection. Beginning in 1987, Mercedes Robirosa launched her line of jewelry.
