A stunning pair of F551 ‘Big Tulip” lounge chairs by French designer Pierre Paulin for Dutch manufacturer Artifort
This is the second series of F551 chair to be recognized by the nickel plated steel base
These chairs have been fully restored with new upholstery and foam
All the old crumbly foam and old upholstery has been stripped down to the bare plywood shell and build up with new high quality new Pantera foam
The fabric we chose for this project is by Dutch top textile manufacturer De Ploeg who also supplied the fabrics for the original Artifort produce models
The fabric is a period matching lovely Organic Moss green De Ploeg “MONZA” bouclé with a very nice deep pile and a height 80.000 Martindale rub rating
