Sculptural Console Table by Paolo Buffa

Amazing sculptural console table made in the style of Ico Parisi made by a small unknown Italian factory back in the 1950s. It is a typical design with close relations to works by Ico Parisi, Paolo Buffa and Gio Ponti. The console is built with a maple wooden structure and stands on four feet tapered. A reversed V-shape holds the back legs together. Two brass connections link the front and back legs in an elegant way, and the front leg has a slight bend that gives it a dynamic appearance. There’s a nicely sculpted drawer in the middle for small items. What makes this console really special is its beautiful Lumachella marble top. It’s like a maze of stone with hues of orange, brown, yellow, and off-white, giving it a luxurious feel, you can keep looking at these amazing veins. This piece is in great original condition with only minor age related wear, nothing mention worthy.
