1990s Elm Burl Fleet Secretary Bookcase

Vintage 90’s Elm Burl Fleet Secretary manufactured by Southampton. Southampton imported pieces in from England during the 80’s and 90’s and was a sister company to Southwood Furniture Co. out of Hickory, NC.
A time when quality and craftmenship was unprecedented. Included is the original key that locks the writing desk section and the top drawer.
This sweet piece is a wonderful compliment to any book collector or when space planning is of the utmost importance. At 20″ in width, the Fleet can go almost on any wall with limited space.
Great writing desk for any small space. Drop down lid has a writing surface with an inlaid tooled oxblood leather surface.
