The PK22 easy chair was introduced by Danish designer Poul Kjærholm in 1956. It is Kjærholm’s masterpiece, which won the Grand Prix at the Triennale di Milano in 1957. This lounge chair, the most popular in his “PK series,” has been placed in the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris and the National Art Center in Tokyo, both of which are world-renowned architectural masterpieces. He was one of the first to use stainless steel as a material for designing beautiful furniture, and has created many masterpieces as the “wizard of stainless steel. The flat steel bar is a knockdown structure that can be screwed down to the seat section. The minimalist construction is in keeping with Kjærholm’s productivity. The wide seat and moderately sloping wicker backrest provide comfortable seating.
