Signed Vintage 1980s Photography Book by Laura Wilson – Watt Matthews of Lambshead

Photographer Laura Wilson chronicled the life and legacy of rancher Watt Matthews and the story of Lambshead Ranch in this wonderful book, Watt Matthews of Lambshead. Copyright 1989 by The Texas State Historical Association, Austin, Texas. Excellent photographs, well written text, and an introduction by David McCullough. Inscribed and signed by Laura Wilson. Watt Matthews was ninety years old when this book was published. He was among the last of the great Texas cattlemen. This book won the Western Heritage Wrangler Award for Best Art Book,1989 – National Cowboy Hall of Fame, Best Nonfiction Book, 1989 – Southwestern Booksellers Association, Best Art Book, 1990 – Rocky Mountain Book Publishers Association, and Citation, 1990 – San Antonio Conservation Society. Long out of print, this edition in excellent vintage condition is a real treasure.
